The Gunner Orchard

After losing one of our own to suicide in early 2024, we decided we needed a place to reflect and remember our fellow Gunners. The idea of The Gunner Orchard was born and in 2024, we laid the first dedication stones at newly planted fruit trees for all those who had attended our event and had since sadly passed. To have a tree dedicated to a Gunner, they must have attended any of our events since we started in 2016.

We cannot thank the Thatchers Foundation enough for their donation of 11 trees to our Gunner Orchard. The work this foundation does in helping other charities, whilst also promoting the planting of apple trees, cannot be praised enough. Of course, being an Army Veterans event, we were also happy to accept some of their cider for us to enjoy during our Fire Mission weekend and raise a glass to fallen friends.
